We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers here at the History Center! All of our volunteers enjoy free admission to programs and events they have volunteered for, $5 discounts to all tours, invitations to special events, exhibition openings, and receptions, The Bulletin newsletter, and an invitation to our volunteer recognition events!
Our Collections volunteers make a commitment to excellence and work very hard to maintain the professional environment and safety for our over 70,000 artifacts, 30,000 photos and 5,000+ documents and maps.
Our Event and Program Volunteers provide assistance and customer service at a variety of events and programs that support our mission. Like to cook? We are always looking for people to donate hors d’oeuvres and/or deserts for events. We also could use your help as kitchen assistance to prepare things like punch and plate snacks for serving. Volunteer for events, taking tickets, set-up and tear-down, seating and general “gophering” and reap the rewards by free admission to the event!
If your talents lie in making phone calls, sorting papers, preparing tickets and programs and other supportive efforts then join our administrative troupe. It’s a slower pace and a fun way to help the cause!
