LAST 3 DAYS TO SEE Transforming Traditions Quilt Exhibit showing now until September 15th!

Make plans to come in to see the quilt exhibit before it closes!  This exhibit will be coming down Sept. 15th so if you haven’t gotten a chance to see it, now’s the time!

Examines the changes in women’s roles in the United States during the first half of the 20th Century through the perspective of the quilts women created. New technologies, social reforms, rising patriotism, opportunities for entrepreneurship, women embraced all of these to transform the traditions of American quilting into a new and beautiful art form.
A special thank you to guest curator, Meta Van Nostran, for her many hours of work researching, collecting, and teaching. Many of these over 40 quilts and artifacts come from her personal collection.
Thank you also to the many quilters of Southeastern Ohio who have allowed us to display quilts from their own personal collections and for keeping this beautiful art form alive and well.

Admission to the Southeast Ohio History Center is Members free, Adults-$7, Youth 12-18-$5, Seniors 65+-$5. children under 12-free.
