If you love quilts, you will not want to miss this program! Art Deco and Art Nouveau Quilts of the Early 1900’s, with Meta Van Nostran.

This presentation with a trunk show shares insight into the historic art movements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco and their influence on quiltmaking in the early to middle 1900’s.

In the 1920’s, there was a radical change in the design and color of quilts.  Even traditional patterns took on a new look.  At the same time, there were also radical changes in the world of the Fine Arts.

About our speaker:

Meta Van Nostran has extensive knowledge of both the technical side of quilting as well as the historical. She has written two books, Quilts & Stores, From World War I to World War II: Transforming Traditions and From the Time of the Civil War. Meta’s research, information and presentations are a gem in the quilting world and we hope you’ll join us for this special presentation.
