Come visit a Gingerbread wonderland at ACHS&M this December!

The 2015 Uptown For The Holidays Gingerbread Competition kicks off December 1st. Admission is free and all our welcome to come to the sweetest display this holiday season!

New this year, all the entries will be on display at the Athens County Historical Society Museum from December 2nd through December 30th. 

Open hours for the museum are; Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:00pm.  Also, we will have extended hours for the gift shop and display the first three Thursdays of December (12/3,10 & 17) from 6:00-8:00pm.

This years categories are; Children 12 & Younger, Children 9-12, Teens 13-17, Adults 18 & up, Groups (Families, friends, clubs, organizations etc…) There are $200.00 1st. prizes for each of the age categories so there will be lots of beautiful entries on view.

There is also a $500 for the best replica of an Athens city or county building, landmark, historical site by a professional baker, chef, caterer, cook, culinary student or group of such
professionals as well as a $500 prize for the best replica of an Athens city or county
building, landmark, historical site by any age individual or any non-professional group.
