We have seen a lot of progress in the last couple of weeks!  The foundation for the addition which will house the elevator is above ground now and they are working daily to get to the point where walls can go up. The weather has been so cooperative and we hope the warm weather can continue as long as possible.elevator-base-2elevator-base

We also saw the old Christian Church sign removed to make way for the clock to be installed soon.  It will be nice to see our familiar time piece with us again!

On the inside, much work has been done in the Library/Genealogy area of the second floor.  The ceilings and walls are almost done, then paint and wainscotting can be installed.  We think this space will be a beautiful area for our guests and cannot wait to unveil it!library-drywalling

We are extremely grateful to Adam Conway of Superior Hardwoods Of Ohio for his donation of hardwood flooring. This donation means we can keep the original type flooring period correct and it will be spectacular looking!

And, on a melancholy  note, work has begun by the Cornwells to renovate 65 N. Court.  We wish the best of luck to Anne and Dave with their new project!  They have been removing the interior of the building as seen in the photo below.
