We started a new trend here at the History Center during the holiday season- we put out a puzzle for visitors to try their hand at while here at the Center. Many worked on the puzzle during visits, some at events like concerts and others in their spare time. Stephanie Goldsberry, our puzzle builder extraordinaire, completed the Pappy Mitchell puzzle this afternoon and we congratulate her!  We’ll start a new one now, this time around it will be the Ohio Bobcat, a beautiful image of our native wild cat!

We sell 6 different versions of puzzles here at the History Center and online at athenshistory.org. All are local places or done by local artists so come check them out and take one home- every puzzle needs a good, loving home! We have the Athens Asylum, the old Science Hall at O.U. that was torn down, artwork from a patient of the Athens Asylum, paintings by Pappy Mitchell and Paula Myers and the Iconic Bobcat.
