ACHS&M’s Spring Open house May 8th!

Call your friends and neighbors and bring them to the Spring Open House at your ACHS&M!

We are going to have the entire building open to the public so here’s your chance to see the “back of the house” and experience all that your historical society, museum & genealogy chapter has to offer.  Browse the collections department and glimpse some of the historic artifacts and unique items housed here for safe keeping.

TELEPHONE COMPANYLearn what the Levering Library and Genealogical Chapter can do to help you find your roots- no need to pay Ancestry.com- come on in and use the library computers- it’s free for you to use.  There are also historical folders, maps, books and records kept in the Levering so if you haven’t been in yet- you’re missing out!

Come and learn about the interesting programs and tours we have set up for you this year like the Athens Asylum tours & Brew Week tours. Get details about our reenactment of a Civil War Muster taking place on the steps of the Athens Courthouse. Learn about the early inhabitants of your area during Archaeology month.  We’ll have information on all our events and programming at the open house for you to take home.

While you’re here, enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts by Purple Chopstix, wine, beverages and other yummy delights, all free during the open house hours.
