Join long-time Appalachian Behavioral Health employee and Athens Asylum advocate, George Eberts, for an engaging tour of the grounds and cemeteries.
Learn about the history of mental health treatment, from the Kirkbride Plan to the present day, as well as George’s personal anecdotes.
(Please note that this tour is of the Asylum Grounds only. We will not be touring inside the building.)

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES
We do not. Bring your boots and your umbrellas, this tour goes on rine or shine!
Cancellation will only take place if dangerous weather such as lightning, storms, level 2+ snow emergencies, or high winds are active. Those with prepaid tickets can either choose a future tour date or be reimbursed for their ticket. Call the SEOHC to reimburse your ticket.
