Learn about Joshua McSimpson from Big Bottom in Morgan County who wrote, “The Emancipation Car: Being an Original Composition of Anti-Slavery Ballads, Composed Exclusively for the Underground Railroad,” and Charles Thomas, from Zanesville, who inspired Branch Rickey to bring Jackie Robinson into Major League Baseball.
